Look for pads, matted grass, laydown wood, and any pockets of slack current tucked against the bank. Snakehead here don't roam much on a whim; they sit tight to cover and ambush, so working the edges slow and methodical beats blind casting the middle.

Tide dictates the whole game plan. On the high, snakehead push way back into the flooded grass and shallow cover where baitfish scatter, and they get tough to reach or trigger. As the water starts to drop, they slide off that skinny cover into the channels, mouths of feeder guts, and current seams — that outgoing push concentrates fish and baitfish together, and it's when the reaction bite really turns on. Plan around the ebb if you can; it's the most reliable window here.

Shore access is workable, with parking mapped roughly 0.73 mi off the water, so bring the gear for a short haul in. If you'd rather cover more of the creek, there's a boat ramp about 2.05 miles out — worth the run if you want to fish multiple pockets in one trip. Either way, stick with weedless frogs and buzzbaits over the slop, chatterbaits along the drop-offs, and weedless soft plastics worked slow through wood, all on 40-65 lb braid to horse them out of cover.
