Patricks Pond is a quiet, non-tidal water, so you're not fighting a clock like you would on nearby tidal creeks—snakehead here settle into a rhythm dictated more by light and temperature than moon phase. Look for them tucked into pads, matted grass, and any laydown wood along the margins. These fish ambush from cover, so the thicker and messier the structure, the better your odds. Wind-blown banks that stack debris and baitfish are worth a look too, especially once the sun gets high and fish slide into shade or deeper pockets within the cover.

Early and late light are your best windows here—dawn and dusk push snakehead shallow and aggressive, especially along shaded edges in summer heat. Shore access is workable, with mapped parking about 0.88 mi from the water, making for a manageable walk-in trip if you travel light. If you want to cover more water and reach pockets shore-bound anglers can't, a kayak or small boat pays off—there's a boat ramp mapped roughly 1.82 mi out.
