Early morning and last light are the prime windows, when fish push shallow onto the edges of that cover to feed. Through the heat of the day, look for shade lines along thicker vegetation or wind-blown pockets where baitfish get pushed into cover — snakehead will stack up on the downwind edge waiting for an easy meal.

Access here is bank-based. There's no boat ramp mapped within about 3 miles, so this reads as a bank or kayak-carry spot rather than a trailer-launch lake — bring a yak or kayak if you want to cover water, or plan to walk the bank.
