In the warmer months they'll sit tight under that cover, ambushing anything that swims past, then slide into slightly deeper pockets or shade lines when the sun gets high. Early morning and last light are prime, especially when there's a little wind pushing bait and debris into a pocket of cover — that's when you'll see the surface erupt.

Access is workable both ways. If you're on foot, mapped parking sits about 0.96 mi from the water, so plan on a short walk in with your gear. If you've got a kayak or small boat, it's the better option here — there's a boat ramp mapped nearby, closest about 0.33 mi, which lets you cover the grass lines and wood without hoofing it.
