Early and late in the day, with low light, snakeheads push shallow onto the edges of that cover to hunt. Once the sun climbs, they tuck deeper into shade or wherever wind has stacked debris and baitfish against a bank — those wind-blown seams are worth working even in the heat of midday.

Access here is easy either way. If you're on foot, there's mapped parking about 0.28 mi from the water, a short walk in with a rod and a bag of frogs. For boat or kayak anglers, a ramp sits closer still, roughly 0.07 mi away, making it simple to launch and idle along the grass lines and wood without much of a haul.
