Snakehead here will cruise the skinny stuff early and late, then slide toward thicker cover or shaded banks once the sun gets high. Because there's no tide to plan around, your clock is really about light and temperature — dawn and dusk produce the most visible strikes, and a stiff breeze pushing bait and debris into a corner can turn on a bite in the middle of the day too.
